What is Single-Ply?
The single ply membrane is a one layer roofing system that can be installed to a new build or refurbishments. The system is applied by adhering the membrane using a low solvent adhesive which over time, evaporates through the membrane leaving it solvent free. By using an environmentally friendly hot-air gun to seam weld the system, we ensure that your roof is left completely seamless and water tight.

Licensed Single Ply Roofing contractors
Our main single-ply solution is the highly recommended ICO-PAL which is part of the Anderson waterproofing company.
- We use a monarplan (PVC-P) membrane which has been used in all building sectors including commercial, health, education and residential new build and refurbishments.
- Monarplan membranes have a life expectancy in excess for over 30 years. This demonstrates superior durability and service-life performance.
- It also offers resistance to weathering and UV, a superior aesthetic appearance whilst accommodating structural movement.
Another single-ply contractor that we use and is highly recommended is Alwitra which is commonly known as the ‘ultimate roofing system’part of the international construction bureau (ICB) They have the same eco-friendly aims as us:
- We use EVALASTIC roofing and water proofing membranes which are a high standard of single ply.
- EVALASTIC membranes resist the most extreme weather conditions ranging from -30° and up to 100°+.
- Ecological construction and long term reliability.
- It’s a quick and easy solution to roofing and is fitted by our installers.
- It’s perfect for new builds but also being bitumen compatible for refurbishment projects where it offers a very cost effective overlay solution to old felt or asphalt roofs.
- The membrane offers extremely low vapour diffusion resistance allowing moisture to escape from the roof build-up over the whole membrane surface.
- It’s quick to install by hot-air or low solvent welding in the overlap area and can be recycled.
